Special Needs Kitten NEEDS A Family. Will Anyone See Beyond Her Disability?

From the AnimalRescue Site:  BY JULIE E.H.

Daisy, a tiny black kitten, was in need of a forever home. She was rescued along with her siblings and brought to the Best Friends Kitten Nursery in Salt Lake City. All of the kittens are very special but Daisy was a bit different.

She wobbles when she walks due to Cerebella Hypoplasia (CH), a condition that affects the central nervous system. Other than walking funny and balance issues, Daisy is quite healthy. But still, shelters and rescuers always worry about animals with special needs. Will they be able to find that perfect home with humans that see them for who they truly are? SPECIAL! And full of love!

You’ll have to watch Daisy’s special video to see what happens but please, always remember, sharing stories like Daisy’s is how we spread awareness about animals with special needs.

About the Article author: Julie resides in Northern New Jersey with her two kids, two dogs, cat and partner. She has two published books which make excellent trivets if you aren't a fan of poetry. She tolerates people but LOVES animals. If she isn't blogging, she's most likely cuddling with her pups, Paisley and Skyler.
Fortunately for Daisy someone saw past her limits and adopted her. Not only her, but she was adopted with her sister Agatha. How lucky can two cats gets?
Remember: Pets with disabilities don't know they're disabled and unlike people don't moan, groan or whine about it. They just live their lives content with what they have. So don't ever let an animal's disability hold you back from adopting a special needs pet. Your reward will be many.

Until next time….hug your animals. Tell them you love them. If you don’t have a pet, adopt one. Make adoption your first option when seeking a pet. Adopt. Don’t shop. Can’t adopt. Please consider fostering one. The animal will have the taste of home and the shelter will cover the expenses. Can’t foster? Make a donation or volunteer at your local shelter. Please, don’t hunt. Unless you’re starving down in a ditch somewhere, there is no logical reason to do so. Whatever you do, however you do it, please be a voice for the animals large and small. All it takes is one to make a difference, good or bad.
