China: Dog Boiled Alive GRAPHIC Photos & Video. No mercy here...

This is the face of China. Everyday. Not just one day a year. As difficult as it is to watch this, please do so in order for us to make a difference. In honor of all the innocent animals cooked alive in China, we must fight for them. I can no longer look at these photos or video, but I will not stop fighting for these animals. Thank you. S.J. There are children present and the men inflicting the agony are laughing! At the end of the video the dog gets out and runs away. He couldn’t escape early on because his legs are tied together with twine. I doubt he will be able to fully escape though.

The video runs for 4.24 minutes and the dog is alive all the way through.

See the twine they bound his legs with, to stop him escaping from the boiling vat of water.
China has no animal protection laws and what these people are doing is NOT illegal. If you ran in and confiscated the dog, YOU could be arrested for theft of property! With no animal protection laws animals are therefore viewed by the law as property in China (and Vietnam!)

If this video doesn’t give a bloody good reason to fight to end the dog meat trade I don’t know what will! What moral compass are these people using that justifies intense screams of agony which are caused by them!

Fight Dog Meat is currently running a campaign of sending Government Letters to China, to call for animal protection laws and an end to the dog and cat meat trade. For all the tears and screams about a one day dog festival known as Yulin, I’m shocked at how few people have taken the time to mail off our letter to the Chinese Government! All you have to do is sign the letter and mail it.
Crying on Facebook isn’t going to change a thing! Hero worshiping individuals isn’t going to change a thing. Fact: we’ve had a greater response to our Vietnam Government Letter Campaign than to the Chinese one. I find that utterly unbelievable – but that’s a fact.
Facebook tears will NOT end the dog meat trade. Facebook tears will NOT bring animal protection laws! No individual woman and no individual man will end the dog meat trade because the trade is bigger than individuals.
This is not about racism, so please remember there are many animal lovers in every dog meat country who hate the trade and desperately want it to end.
Please mail off the following letter to the Chinese government – it IS something you can do which will only cost you the price a stamp!

Mama Dog Saved From Yulin Meat Festival Gives Birth to Puppies! (Photos)

                                     
Every year, citizens from the United States and around the world, are shocked and heartbroken to find out that the consumption of dog meat in Yulin, China, especially around the time of the year in June when Yulin Dog Meat Festival is still alive and well. Yes, you read that correctly, dog meat. Although in the U.S., we regard our dogs more as friends than pets, there are still a few parts in the world, where consumption of dog meat is sadly permissible.

 Thankfully, there are several organizations in existence that are doing everything they can to put an end to this cruel practice.

This year, Humane Society International (HSI), has had quite a bit of success in intervening, stopping trucks on their way to slaughterhouses, and rescuing dogs previously destined to become meat. Many of these dogs have been relocated to the U.S. and others have stayed in China with HSI’s Chinese partners, where they are slowly getting used to leading normal lives, interacting with other dogs outside of the fear-ridden slaughterhouses of China, and even having babies!

      Take this sweet pup, who was rescued from Yulin by HSI. After  caretakers started to notice her belly bump and ferocious appetite, they deduced that she was, in fact, pregnant!

When this dog first arrived at HSI rescue headquarters, she was severely dehydrated, had numerous injuries, and was hardly in any condition to care for babies.

Luckily, after some much needed TLC by the HSI Chinese team, this pup got back on the right track and healthy enough to care for her little ones.

Had HSI not stepped in when they did, this mama would likely not even be alive today, let alone giving birth to new life.

We’re so glad that her puppies will never have to suffer like she did. We wish this pup and her kin nothing but a life of happiness and peace!

It is up to all of us to put an end to the Yulin Meat Festival and raise awareness about the danger of dog meat and the cruelty involved in this practice. HSI was able to save a lot of dogs this year from the grim fate they were destined for, but there is still much work to be done. It is important for the world to not forget the anger and disgust they feel at the time of the Yulin Meat Festival and to continue to raise awareness for these animals throughout the rest of the year.
